Marsden Group is a locally owned residential development company creating thoughtfully considered homes and communities across southern Vancouver Island.
Guided by a deep connection to this place — and by the belief that good design should make everyday life feel better — we bring care, practicality and long-term thinking to every project. Our work spans welcoming rental communities and distinctive homes for ownership, but the intention remains the same: to create enduring places that feel at home in their surroundings and give the people who live there a genuine sense of belonging.

Leadership
Patrick Marsden
Principal OwnerPatrick brings extensive experience in construction, development and project management to his leadership of Marsden Group. After beginning his career in the trades, he moved into increasingly senior management roles before founding his own company in 2016. His entrepreneurial drive and instinct for opportunity continue to shape the growth of the Marsden Group of businesses. Born and raised in Victoria, Patrick is deeply connected to Vancouver Island and enjoys spending his time outside of work travelling and exploring with his wife, Jenna, and their three daughters.
Owner and Design LeadJenna Marsden
Jenna leads the design vision for Marsden Group, guiding the selection of finishes, materials and interior details that give each project its distinct sense of warmth and character. Growing up among the beaches, parks and character homes of Victoria’s Fairfield neighbourhood fostered her lifelong appreciation for thoughtful design and the relationship between a home and its surroundings. Away from work, Jenna enjoys soccer, paddleboarding and exploring Vancouver Island with Patrick and their three daughters.
Jordan Owen
Ownerordan has worked in construction and development since graduating from high school, building broad practical experience across excavation, construction, refrigeration, renovation and residential development. After completing his refrigeration apprenticeship, he founded his own heating and refrigeration business and continued building and developing properties—a passion that began with constructing his first home at the age of 20. A lifelong friend of Patrick’s, Jordan brings hands-on knowledge and an entrepreneurial perspective to their shared vision for Marsden Group. Outside of work, he enjoys hockey, hiking and time on Shawnigan Lake with Michelle and their two children.
Owner Michelle Owen
Michelle brings a valuable combination of architectural knowledge, property experience and design insight to Marsden Group. An Architectural Technologist who has worked in the construction industry since 2010, she has contributed to architectural projects, renovated and managed rental properties, and now helps guide larger residential developments with the Marsden team. Originally from Campbell River, Michelle embraces an active West Coast lifestyle with her husband, Jordan, their two children and their dog, Frankie.
Nick Marsden
Owner, Administration & OperationsNick brings exceptional organization, patience and integrity to the administrative side of Marsden Group. A retired mathematics instructor who taught at Camosun College for more than 40 years, his analytical mind and steady approach have been instrumental in supporting the company’s growth and day-to-day operations. Nick is a devoted husband, father and grandfather who enjoys travelling with his wife, Marilyn, spending time with their family and contributing to the community through volunteer work.
Owner Marilyn Marsden
Marilyn’s early experience owning and improving a character home in Fernwood helped plant the seed for what would eventually become Marsden Group. Originally trained as a teacher, she went on to build a long career with the University of Victoria Library and brings thoughtfulness, care and a strong sense of community to the family business. Marilyn enjoys gardening, cooking, exploring local trails and parks, travelling with Nick, and volunteering within the community.
